With the escalating situation of the World Health Organization-recognized pandemic Coronavirus unleashing its wrath on the entire world, people have been forced to stay in self-isolation within the confines of their home.

The sporting arena has taken a major hit with marquee events like Olympics, La Liga, Premier League and English Premier League getting postponed. And, so with literally nothing to do,  public figures from all around the world are taking to social media to interact with their fans via Question-Answer session.

Former Australian batsman and renowned commentator joined the bandwagon on Wednesday and fans flooded his timeline with a series of questions.

One of the fans asked Prof Deano: “What about coaching Pakistan?” To which the Karachi Kings coach had a straightforward answer- “It will never ever happen”

Speaking of Pakistan’s coach, Misbah-ul-Haq, who also happens to be their chief selector, has come under scrutiny after his PSL franchise Islamabad United endured a horrendous campaign in the recently concluded fifth edition. Misbah’s team could garner just seven points in ten games and since then questions have galore regarding his credentials as a coach.

However, PCB Chief Operating Officer, Wasim Khan, isn’t perturbed by all the scepticism around Misbah. Khan told the media recently that the reason why they allowed Misbah to coach Islamabad United despite a huge conflict of interest, was so that he could gain some invaluable experience.

“We have confidence in him and that is we allowed him to coach the Islamabad franchise as we wanted him to gain some experience as well in this position. You must keep in mind while he is the coach of the Pakistan team full-time he only joined the Islamabad franchise a few days before the PSL. We wanted it to be a learning experience for him as head coach,” Khan said as quoted by ESPNcricinfo.

Misbah-ul-Haq was appointed the Head Coach as well as the chief selector of the Pakistan cricket team last September following the resignations of Micky Arthur and Inzamam Ul Haq after Pakistan’s underwhelming campaign in the 2019 World Cup.
