'It's been a long day' - Michael Vaughan and Wasim Jaffer exchange some banter after England's crushing 146-run loss in the 5th Ashes Test

The England cricket team was crushed by 146 runs in the 5th Ashes Test against Australia. And India’s Wasim Jaffer and England’s Michael Vaughan, who are known to have banters with each other on a regular basis once again indulged in some exchange of words.

After England suffered a thrashing, Jaffer took to Twitter and took a funny dig at Vaughan regarding England’s poor show in The Ashes. And, the former England skipper responded by stating that it has been a long day for him.

Michael Vaughan had also taken a sly dig at Wasim Jaffer after India lost the three-match Test series against South Africa by a margin of 1-2. Vaughan had taken to Twitter and commented “Evening Wasim Jaffer. Just checking you are ok,” tweeted Vaughan.

And to that, Jaffer gave a fitting reply and stated that India were leading England 2-1 in their recent series on England soil. “Haha all good Michael, don’t forget we are still leading you 2-1,” tweeted Jaffer. You can see the banter between the two below.

Michael Vaughan had also commented on England’s dismal show in the 5th Test and tweeted that losing a Test match is fine, but the Joe Root led outfit had already thrown in the towel and surrendered the Test to their opposition.

Michael Vaughan played 82 Test matches for England and scored 5719 runs at an average in excess of 40. The current 47-year-old also amassed 18 hundreds and 18 fifties in the whites. On the other hand, Wasim Jaffer has represented the Indian side in 31 Test matches and has scored close to 2000 runs. The right-handed batter plundered 5 centuries and 11 half-centuries for the Indian side in the whites.
