Virat Kohli and wife Anushka Sharma surprised everyone on Thursday announcing that they will be welcoming their first child together in January 2021. Regarded as one of the most popular star couples across the country, social media blew up after their announcement.

Virat shared a picture where he was posing with Anushka while cradling her baby bump. Anushka also shared the same picture to share the special news with everyone.

Virat captioned the picture saying, “And then, we were three! Arriving Jan 2021.” After the announcement, social media was flooded with congratulatory wishes for the couple. Fans showered them with blessings, with many prominent cricketers and Bollywood stars extending wishes to the star couple.

Jofra Archer’s tweets somehow have a connection with current happenings

Amid the celebrations, Jofra Archer’s name popped up too. Archer, known for his unique tweets, was also trending on this occasion because of his five-year-old tweet. The England cricketer had tweeted out “January 5th..” in 2015 and Twitterati took over that post and started speculating that this is going to be the date when Virat and Anushka will welcome their baby.

In the last 12 months, a number of Archer’s past tweets have emerged which somehow have a connection with some of the current happenings. The speedster was recently also involved in the three-match Test series against Pakistan and will be a part of Rajasthan Royals squad in the upcoming IPL 2020.

Kohli, meanwhile, has already reached UAE to start preparing for this year’s IPL. The much-awaited IPL 2020, after many delays, is finally set to hit the floors from September 19th in UAE. Amid COVID-19 pandemic, the BCCI identified UAE as a feasible option to host the T20 extravaganza.

Despite being equipped with many star players, the Bangalore franchise has failed to clinch the title so far. Kohli and his men will be eying their maiden IPL trophy this season. Along with the RCB skipper, Anushka has also travelled to UAE to accompany him. During her pregnancy, the couple chose to fly to the UAE together instead of staying away from each other for months.
