Jemimah Rodrigues gives fitting reply to fan who tried to flirt with her

India women team’s star Jemimah Rodrigues is fast becoming one of the most sought after players in the world. The youngster has taken the whole world by storm with her confident and fearless batting approach. The youngster has not looked back since hogging the limelight in February last year when the prodigy from Mumbai earned a call up for India women’s team’s South Africa tour.

Jemimah had earned the call after a sensational season with the Mumbai Under-19 team in 2017-18, where she amassed 1013 runs with five hundreds and a double ton. As the year passed by, she grew from strength to strength. Jemimah starred with the bat during the World T20 last year, helping India make it to the semi-final. She also finished 2018 as the No. 6 player in the ICC T20I rankings.

Last year, she had also become the first Indian woman to hit three consecutive sixes, achieving the milestone against Sri Lanka. And it looks like the 18-year old is capable of creating fireworks not only on the cricket field but also off it and a fan must have realised it on Saturday. He cheekily tried to flirt with Jemimah but ended up being embarrassed as the batter gave her a fitting reply.

It all started when a fan wrote: “I like jemimah. Very cute. Are you seeing anyone? @JemiRodrigues.”

Not at all impressed by the tweet, Jemimah quickly replied saying: “After this match? I’m definitely seeing a bright future for Women’s Cricket! #WIPL #womenscricket #ipl #WomensT20Challenge”

Jemimah stars for Supernovas in women’s T20 challenge:

Jemimah recently impressed for Supernovas, helping the team win the Women’s T20 challenge. After scoring 24 in the first game, she scored a sublime 77 in the second game against Velocity to power her team into the final. After the game, she had called the 77-run knock one of her best knocks.

“This was one of my best knocks and one of the memorable ones because today the wicket actually wasn’t easy to bat on,” she had said.

In the final, she scored 22 as Supernovas beat Velocity by 4 wickets to clinch the title.
