Indian football team captain Sunil Chhetri has been making a lot of news headlines in the recent past. The prolific strike is one of the top three active goal scorers in international football at the moment. He is next to only Christiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi in the list. Recently, he played his 100th international football game for the Indian team. It was a heartwarming game for the Indian side as the backdrop for the game was set up on emotional grounds with Sunil Chhetri requesting the fans to come out and support them at the venue.

Now, the game is done and dusted and team India is looking forward to the next hurdle. Amidst all this, the social media has been flooding with messages for the Indian soccer skipper. The likes of Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli has also shared social media updates congratulating Chhetri.

Veteran cricketer Suresh Raina also came up with a lovely tweet for him. And now, former South African cricketer Jonty Rhodes thought that even he will share some pleasantries with the popular Indian footballer. But all that Rhodes has managed to do is strike a conversation with a fake Chhetri account on the social media.

The conversation started with the fake Sunil account posting a picture with Jonty Rhodes. He captioned the picture pretty well and remarked that it was a pleasure meeting him. He cheekily asked Rhodes to teach him how to break the stumps whilst on the fly.

Here is what the fake Sunil Chhetri posted:

“@JontyRhodes8 Itwas such a pleasure meeting you. When do we begin classes to learn to break stumps on the dive,” the fake account captioned the picture that it shared.

Jonty’s cheeky reply:

The former South African cricketer, who was renowned for ‘flying’ in the air to catch the cricket ball, was quick to respond back. He cheekily noted that there are many strikers who can teach them both to dive. However, Rhodes failed to catch the fact that the tweet had come from a fake account. “Hi Sunil, I have watched a little football; and I am sure there are many strikers, not u of course; who could teach both of us to DIVE!!!!” Jonty Rhodes wrote in his reply.
