David Warner keeps entertaining his teammates and the general public with his quirky actions and moves, but who knew he was versed in Bengali as well? Ahead of Delhi Capitals’ clash against the Kolkata Knight Riders, Warner greeted one of his teammates in Bengali, and netizens were left in awe of his skills.

Warner made his return to the Delhi side this year when the franchise purchased him during the auction. But his entry to IPL 2022 was delayed as he was with his national team, playing against Pakistan in an away series. He joined the camp a few days ago and made his way into the playing XI when the team faced Lucknow Super Giants.

In a video shared by Delhi Capitals on their social media handle, Warner could be seen speaking to his teammate in Bengali. The franchise captioned the post saying: “A message from @davidwarner31 for fans on both sides. Looking forward to a great game, @kkriders”, as Warner is heard saying- “Hello buddy, how are you? Kemon Acho? Ammi tuma ke bhalo bhashi (how are you, I love you).”

Delhi faced KKR in the fourth game in this season. Anrich Nortje, who joined the team alongside Warner in the previous game, was rested as Khaleel Ahmed made his way back.

DC have just one win in the three games played so far, and are placed at the seventh spot in the points table. The two games they lost were against the two debut teams – LSG and Gujarat Titans. Both the new entrants have their place intact in the top four and have been performing extremely well in the tournament.

Delhi won their first encounter against Mumbai Indians, where they had fielded only two overseas players due to the absence of their key members. They are looking to move up in the points table and if they win against KKR, they will be able to do that as they aim to get their first-ever IPL Trophy.
