Kevin Pietersen tried to troll James Faulkner on his birthday, latter replied hilariously

It is an established fact that Kevin Pietersen and James Faulkner are best of friends on and off the field. The duo play for the same side in the Big Bash League. Pietersen and Faulkner represent the Melbourne Stars in the second most sought T20 league in the world. They have been together since the 2015 edition of the league down under.

It is a common sight of the duo having fun during this edition of the IPL. James Faulkner represents the Gujarat Lions while Kevin Pietersen was bought by the Rising Pune Supergiant in the previous year’s IPL auction. Although Kevin Pietersen only featured in 4 matches for the franchise as his IPL campaign was cut short due to injury.

However, he was released by the Rising Pune Supergiant franchise in December last year. Citing a busy winter with travelling and cricket, KP opted out of this year’s IPL as he made himself unavailable for the auction. That said, he has been an active commentator and analyst for the broadcasters in this tournament.

Pietersen is a well-traversed personality as he has travelled all over the globe playing major T20 leagues. He represents the Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League, whereas he was a part of the St. Lucia Zouks in the Carribean Premier League.

KP has also been an active Twitter user over the years and developed quite a fan following using his cheeky comments and interesting whereabouts. He took to Twitter to wish his dear friend from Melbourne, Jimmy Faulkner, on his birthday. As  Faulkner is gap-toothed, KP cheekily gifted the Australian all-rounder a toothbrush.

He tweeted,”Happy birthday @JamesFaulkner44. Hope you have a wonderful day & that someone has been kind to you by gifting you a toothbrush.”

James Faulkner was quick to respond and replied KP by saying, “Surely that ‘someone’ can throw some toothpaste in as well kalvin?”

KP was in no mood to back down as he replied by saying,” I’ll get the toothpaste mate! That someone needs to be able to afford a container full…!”

The birthday boy replied by inquiring,” Sponsorship?”

Kevin Pietersen brought an end to this hilarious conversation by saying that Faulkner was sponsored by his friendship.
