Former India player Yuvraj Singh and former English cricketer Kevin Pietersen indulged in a football banter on social media as Pietersen trolled Yuvraj after Manchester United’s defeat. United faced a heart-breaking defeat against Brighton by 0-4 on Saturday night, which led to their exit from the league. As a result, Pietersen, a Chelsea fan, trolled Yuvraj, who supports the United as the the two were involved in a fun banter which involved a series of tweets poking each other.

It was all started when Pietersen tweeted “If anyone knows where @YUVSTRONG12 is, please let him know I’m thinking of him at this terrible time…! (Laughing emoji)”. Yuvraj Singh responded: “Thanks buddy! I was thinking about you too in the champions league. (Smiling emoji) But I agree this is unacceptable.”

As Chelsea has been performing well for the past few seasons, Pietersen got a chance to troll Yuvraj even more as the United had been struggling. But Yuvraj showed the world he is a true United fan and kept backing the team.

When Pietersen asked him “Do you know what the champions league is?”, Yuvraj replied: No I don’t u possess all the sporting knowledge why don’t u tell the whole Twitter world?”

Pietersen replied: “It’s a comp Chelsea plays and not Man Utd. It’s where the best teams in Europe play…”. Yuvraj Singh continued: “Lol how many EPL titles has the best team won sir?”

Pietersen added: “Not sure but your next trophy might be winning the championship in a couple years time.” But Singh had a comeback as he said: I’m sure that’s correct ! But first win a trophy and then talk about legendary teams (Shush emoji)! At Manchester we stand United win or loose”. Pietersen ended the thread with his final comments saying: “No winning, just losing!”
