The trans-Tasman rivalry is not limited to the Chappell-Hadlee trophy or rugby. Kane Williamson took on his Sunrisers’ captain David Warner in a game of darts to show-off his adept in the event. The Kiwi came out victorious in the contest against the Australian as he scored a perfect 180 to defeat Warner.

This occurred after the Sunrisers Hyderabad could not take the field during a training session due to rains, which forced them to shift the action indoors. Kane Williamson put three consecutive throws into the triple 20 which aggregated to a cumulative score of 180. Before the start of the game, Warner confessed that he’s a rookie in comparison to the New Zealand skipper.

“He’s better than me at darts. I even share my darts with him”, said the dashing opener as quoted as saying by stuff.co.nz, to which the number 3 batsman for Kiwis replied, “You’re so kind, we get on so well”.

Even though the left-hander lost to his opponent, there seemed no one more enthused about Williamson’s victory. The New South Wales man retaliated with a ‘high 10′ after the Kiwi number 3 completed his lap of honor in the vicinity of the dressing room.

“There you have it SunRisers fans, our first 180 … comes off probably 10,656 attempts. Two years of hard work has finally paid off. It’s like a hole in one for golf for us”, he appealed to the Sunrisers’ fan base.

Williamson concluded by stating that the victory over Warner was top-shelf along with the IPL triumph last year. “It’s a big moment, something I’ll never forget … oh, and last year’s IPL victory. This and that would be right up there.” said the 26-year old from Northern District.

Williamson is currently warming the benches as he is not able to break into the squad with likes of Rashid Khan, Moises Henriques, Ben Cutting and skipper David Warner, already in the XI. Sunrisers’ will also face selection dilemma with the inclusion of Mustafizur in the playing XI. The Sunrisers travel to Wankhede for their matchup against the Mumbai Indians in their own backyard.
