“Celebration”, must be the word that is ringing around the Eden Gardens. The first reason for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to be celebrating is the debut of their 21-year-old Chinaman Kuldeep Yadav for Team India. The second news which makes the camp happy was the announcement made by their leg-spinner Piyush Chawla. The leggie announced that he and his wife have been blessed with a baby boy.

Yusuf Pathan, a key all-rounder for the Knight Riders, took Twitter to congratulate and welcome Chawla and welcomed him into the Fathers’ Club. Yusuf tweeted to his teammate and close friend Chawla was a heart-warming one. The tweet said: “Congratulations Piyush Chawla it’s nice to have you in the Father’s club brother. Blessings to the baby boy.”

The all-rounder further used the platform to Congratulate the 22-year-old chinaman Kuldeep Yadav on his debut for Team India. Yousuf wrote, Well done chinaman, young Kuldeep Yadav exceptional performance on Test debut. Make us all proud at @KKRiders,”

The pair of Piyush Chawla and Yusuf Pathan have been influential for the Knight Riders in the past with Chawla being one of Knight Rider’s deadliest bowlers in IPL. Yusuf, himself has been an integral part of the Shah Rukh Khan-owned team and has helped the team get over the line many a time in the past few seasons at the club.

The Knight Riders would want the leggie to be in his prime form for the franchise’s chase of a third elusive Indian Premier League (IPL) title. They have won the IPL trophy twice, with some valuable contribution from both Chawla and Pathan.

Former KKR player Jacques Kallis, who is currently the coach for the franchise will start training with the squad in a pre-season camp starting tomorrow (March 26).
