'Kohli and Dhoni are disgraces' - England cricketer Matt Parkinson gets trolled brutally for his insulting tweets

Parkison is likely to get a chance during the ODI series against India.

England spinner Matt Parkinson is currently in India and is part of the team’s ODI squad ahead of the three-match series. India and England are all set to face each other in the first ODI in Pune on Tuesday with this series being the last leg of the tour. Parkinson has played two ODIs and as many T20Is for England so far and is likely to get an opportunity to take the field against India in Pune.

However, the leg-spinner is trending on social media ahead of the series opener for his ‘insulting’ tweets for Indian cricketers a few years ago. In some of his tweets from 2012 to 2014, Matt Parkinson called team India players cheat and also called Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni disgraces.

In some of his other tweets, he also mentioned Virat Kohli as arrogant while also saying that he hates the current Indian captain. Moreover, Parkinson has also previously mocked the standards of Indian cricket after knowing that Ravindra Jadeja has scored three triple centuries in first-class cricket.

These tweets had gone viral in February last year itself soon after Matt Parkinson made his ODI debut against South Africa. The leggie managed to delete some of the tweets featuring Kohli and Dhoni but Indian cricket fans were absolutely livid with Parkinson as the screenshots of those tweets went viral on the internet. With him being a part of the upcoming ODI series, the 24-year-old is again in the limelight for his same old tweets.

Rather it will be interesting to see how he responds to the pressure of bowling to the Indian superstars if he gets a chance in the first ODI or later in the series. Meanwhile, the Indian fans trolled Matt Parkinson for his tweets against Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni and other Indian cricketers.
