Kolkata Knight Riders CEO only hoped Shah Rukh Khan was present at Eden Gardens

After an enthralling victory against the Royal Challengers Bangalore in front of a jam-packed stadium at Eden Gardens, the Kolkata Knight Riders could not ask for anything more from the boys. The Gautam Gambhir-led side completely decimated their opposition with the ball as the Royal Challengers crumbled down royally.

Shah Rukh Khan, the co-owner of the KKR franchise, took to Twitter to express his elation after their victory. To which the CEO of the Knight Riders and Red Chilli entertainment replied by saying that the only thing incomplete in this sweet victory was the presence of the King of Bollywood.

SRK tweeted a picture of his with a caption which read, “Do I need to say anything…but that I love u all at the Eden Garden. Ami KKR…YAAAYYYYYY!!!!!”. Venkat Mysore, the CEO of Red Chillies Entertainment, retweeted SRK’s post and replied by stating,”Sir. The only thing that could have made this night even better was you being here! @iamsrk @KKRiders”

The Kolkata Knight Riders are currently in red-hot form at the moment with 10 points in seven games. They also have the highest net run-rate at the moment with their massive win by 82 runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Earlier in the evening, the Knight Riders were in a spot of bother after they were reduced to 93/6 as the home team crawled to a total of 131. It would have appeared in between the innings that RCB would stroll past their targets with the kind arsenal of they in the batting line-up.

But as they say, it is not over until it’s over in cricket, KKR induced one of the worst collapses in the history of the IPL by bundling out the visitors within 10 overs for 49 runs.

Nathan Coulter-Nile, Colin de Grandhomme, and Chris Woakes, all notched up three wickets to rattle the visitors.
