KPL 2015 Match 11: Namma Shivamogga v Rockstars, Preview: Hubballi, September 7, 2015: Having two wins under their belt, Namma Shivamogga will seek to not just garner full points but also up their average when they take on Rockstars in the first match of the Karbonn Smart KPL 2015 on Tuesday.

Rockstars skipper Suddeep and Namma Shivamogga owner Umapathy are good friends but their friendship is sure to stay off the boundary line for the time they are in the opposite dugouts.

“On field its only cricket. Nothing else matters,” said team owner Mr. Umapathy.

“One can’t underestimate any team so we will be well prepared for this game. We hope to continue our winning streak,” he added.

The Rockstars until Monday have lost one and split points with Belagavi Panthers. There is a gut feeling amongst the pundits that the Rockstars will land a killer punch in this edition of the league. Who the opposition will be is anybody’s guess.

Their three main bowlers, Sunil Joshi, C Raghu and David Johnson have showed that they still have the fire for a fight and can give opposition batsmen a testing time in the middle.

To add to that, Rockstars do have batsmen who are capable of hitting the ball long. While chasing Hubli’s 150 plus target, the Rockstars’ Rajeev and Madhan proved they cannot be taken for granted and gamely took up the chase.

That they fell short is another issue. Namma Shivamogga would do well to stay on guard if they are to consolidate their position at the top of the table.
