KPL 2017, Match 5: Bengaluru Blasters v Hubli Tigers - Statistical Highlights:

• Abhishek Bhat of Bangaluru Blasters captured five wickets conceding 20 runs in this game to provide the 38th occasion of a bowler capturing four or more wickets in KPL. He also became the fourth bowler to capture five or more wickets in KPL.

• R Vinay Kumar’s run aggregate at the end of this game read 799. He needs one more run to join the elite list of batsmen who have an aggregate of 800 plus runs in KPL. MA Agarwal {1175}, KB Pawan {827}, R Jonathan {823}, Amit Verma {819}, KK Nair {812}, R Samarth {802} and B Chipli {800} are the seven batsmen who have aggregated 800 plus runs in KPL.

• R Vinay Kumar’s lone wicket in this game gave him an aggregate of 44 wickets in KPL. He now occupies the second place in the list of bowlers who have captured most wickets in KPL. K Gowtham with 48  wickets to his credit occupy the first place.

• R Vinay Kumar has led a team in KPL on 27 occasions and won 15 games, lost 11 games and one game ended in no  result. B Akhil holds the record for most captaincy assignments – 29 : Won 19 : lost 09 and NR 01

• Bengaluru Blasters was led by SA Bhavane in this game. He became 27th captain to lead a team in KPL. He also became the second captain to lead Benguluru Blasters in KPL.

• Hubli Tigers won this game by two wickets to provide the third occasion of a team winning a KPL game by two wickets. The other two occasions are

• Hubli Tigers won this game with five deliveries to spare to provide the seventh occasion of a team winning a KPL game by exact five deliveries to spare. All the six occasions are tabulated below.

• It also provides the second such occasion at Mysuru. The first such occasion was Mangalore’s win over Shivamoggo on 17.09.15.

• Hubli Tigers posted its 17th win in KPL. It became the fourth team in KPL to post 17 plus wins. Other teams to post 17 or more than 17 wins in KPL are Bijapur Bulls {22}, Belgavi Panthers {21} and Mysuru Warriors {17}.
