The 4 match Test series between India and Australia have already begun with the 2nd Test scheduled to be played at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru from March 4 to 8. The Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) has decided to invite the Indian Army personnel to witness the 2nd Test between India and Australia. The Indian army is expected to be present in the ground for the final 3 days of the match.

According to spokesperson Vinay Mruthyunjaya, KSCA is inviting over 5,000 Indian Army personnel to witness the final 3 days of the 2nd Test between India and Australia. “The Army personnel under the Headquarters of Karnataka and Kerala Sub-Area of Indian Army will be witnessing the match for free in Bangalore. And the Indian Army Soldiers will be in addition to the 15,000 schoolchildren who are being invited for the Test match,” Vinay was quoted as saying by One India News.

They have also invited a number of schoolchildren, most of them being underprivileged. The Pioneer Corps Training Centre Military band will be playing their music to entertain the school children during the lunch and Tea breaks of the match. KSCA is expected to open their offline Box office to sell tickets in the stadium on Saturday and Sunday from 10 in the morning to 6 in the evening but only season tickets will be available on both these days.

“The season tickets are priced Rs 500 upwards and will enable the ticket holder to watch the entire Test match for all the five days,” Vinay said. Meanwhile, the opening Test between India and Australia is in full flow with the visitors taking control of proceedings on a spin friendly track. After scoring 260 in their 1st innings, they bowled out the star-studded India batting line-up for a paltry 105 runs to secure a mammoth lead.
