Kings XI Punjab had a sad end to their IPL 2020 journey when Chennai Super Kings pushed them out of the tournament after defeating them by nine wickets. The franchise started on a dismal note, but they bounced back in magical ways by winning five matches on a trot. Their co-owner Preity Zinta has been the constant support of the franchise as she stood in stands all the while, cheering for them.

After their exit, she penned down an emotional note and thanked all the fans who became the support of the team for all these times. Back in India also, she was too constant while making her appearance in the stands when KXIP was on the field. Zinta used to be so involved in the match that fans really saw her going through all the emotions as the match took different turns.

“Time to say goodbye to #IPL & Dubai. Not the season we hoped for, but we will come back bigger, better & stronger So many thrills, heart attacks, highs, lows & memorable moments. It’s been a shorter run than what we hoped for,” she wrote on her Twitter.

Even though KXIP lost too many matches, it boasted of some star-studded top-order batsmen, including the likes of KL Rahul, Mayank Agarwal, and Universe Boss, Chris Gayle. Zinta paid final gratitude to all the fans before signing off from IPL 2020.

“But I wanna thank all the fans of @lionsdenkxip for standing by us & supporting us through thick n thin Thank you for being so awesome. You guys are the wind beneath our wings #Goodbye #Ipl2020 #Dream11IPL #Saddapunjab #ting.”

Even when Kings XI Punjab is out of the tournament, their skipper KL Rahul keeps possession of Orange Cap. In fact, there hasn’t been a moment in a long time when Orange Cap has moved to some other players. He collected huge 670 runs under his belt till the time, the team was part of the league.

If KXIP would have been in playoffs, the 700-run mark was in no way looking impossible for the thunderous batsman of India.
