Leaked: Hotel guest posts South Africa’s team plan on facebook ahead of the 1st ODI: A South African report containing the New Zealand batting line up with their weaknesses and strengths has been exposed just hours before the first one-day is about to air live between the Proteas and Kiwis at Centurion.

The report, with schedule was addressed to the South African lead pacer Dale Steyn. The schedule was instead glided under the door of guest staying in the same hotel. The schedule became viral, after the guest posted a picture of the same on Facebook.

The report has all the batsmen named alongside with their strong and weak points with all the details properly filled in. Areas to bowl on, the methods of batsmen to cope with a bouncer and best options for bowling in the death overs. Martin Guptill the in form batsman is described with his weakness against bouncers. Captain Kane Williamson is marked as someone who doesn’t play pull well. All-rounder Grant Elliot can only be stopped in the death overs if he is bowled with a Yorker angling in at the death and bouncers to be bowled for dot balls.

The wicket keeper Luke Ronchi and newcomer George Worker, who replaced Mitchell Santner are stated as compulsive pullers and hookers.

Dale Steyn’s name as the addressed is something more to wonder about.

This is not the first time when a team dossier has been revealed in media by ‘slipping’ into wrong hands.

Australian Team’s plan against South African batsmen was publicized in media on the eve of the Test series that was to be held in 2012. John Buchanan, the former coach was accused by some for deliberately leaking the information and others believed it to be a case of mistaken hotel door.

The New Zealand side playing in this series have rested many of their key players, and drew the T20 series by 1-1 losing the first T20I by 6 wickets and winning the second by 32 runs. Steyn returns to the South African squad as he was not a part of the T20I matches.

The one-day series is all set to kick start today.
