After the success of season one, Legends League Cricket is announcing the 2nd season in September 2022 which would feature Privately owned Franchisees who would play in a 4 teams format. The League has invited leading International Cricket Franchisees and Corporates for buying 4 teams that would play in September 2022.

The Franchise model would be based on the conventional Franchisee T20 League formats like IPL, PSL, CPL and many more. The Franchise owners will have to pay an annual franchise fee for 10 years before they would own the teams in perpetuity. The teams would make revenue through central pool and team sponsorships.

Co-Founder & CEO of Legends League Cricket, Raman Raheja said, “We aim to transform Legends cricket through the Club series format. LLC has already established a great business opportunity around Legends Cricket with the season 1. We now invite partnerships with leading Cricket Franchisees and Corporates having interest in business of Cricket.

“We already have seen warm responses from Leading existing Club Franchisees of multiple Country Board’s owned T20 Leagues. Deep interests from vanguards partnering with the League, demonstrate the confidence in our product and the strength of our League to deliver world class product.”

World Giants won the inaugural edition

Meanwhile, the inaugural season of the Legends League Cricket was played between the three teams – India Maharajas, Asia Lions and World Giants. The tournament took place in January this year with every team facing the other twice in the league stage. World Giants topped the points table with three wins in four outings and also went on to win the trophy as well beating Asia Lions in the final.

India Maharajas could sparkle in the competition winning only a solitary game in four outings and they ended at the third place in the points table. Asia Lions did well to make it to the final but couldn’t go past the final hurdle as the World Giants side proved too good for them.
