England all-rounder Ben Stokes had his head in his hands after being smashed for four consecutive sixes by Carlos Brathwaite. However, the Brit, who has seemingly been forgiven after his Brathwaite onslaught came out saying that his life is back to normal following the traumatic incident at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

The Windies required just 19 runs of the final over. England skipper Eoin Morgan tossed the ball to Ben Stokes to bowl the final over. A couple of sixes and Stokes’ face turned pink. A couple of more sixes and Stokes head sunk into his hands. Brathwaite had effectively won the World T20 for the West Indies, thereby giving them their second title. Stokes exclaimed that it was a big disappointment, but his life was back to normal as far as any cricketer goes.

“Life’s back to normal, as normal as it can be a cricketer. It was a big disappointment (losing to West Indies) but I am lucky it is a busy summer,” Stokes was quoted as saying by BBC.

He thanked the fans for the support and added he is presently focusing on his games for county side Durham and England. Stokes added that he had two weeks off before leaving for Durham to take part in the upcoming LV county championship. Stokes will also be hoping to rediscover his Test form as a hectic international schedule beckons over the horizon.

“I had two weeks off and I got back straight into it, getting ready for the two games I have for Durham before the Test match,” Stokes added.
