12. Steve Smith – Rising Pune Supergiants:
Things got from bad to worse when Steve Smith was ruled out of the IPL following a wrist injury. Smith was peaking at the right time for the Supergiants and had scored a brilliant ton against Gujarat Lions. He had followed it up with a 23-ball 45 in the game against Mumbai Indians. He did not miss a match because of the injury while he was in India. In the absence of two other big names, he was the mainstay of the Supergiants batting.
