Chepauk Super Gillies (CSG) will take on Dindigul Dragons (DD) in the second qualifier of the Tamil Nadu Premier League 2025 on Friday, July 4, at the NPR College Ground in Dindigul. The Super Gillies finished in top place in the points table with seven wins in seven games. The Dragons were in third position and won four out of seven matches.

The Super Gillies faced their first loss of the season at the hands of IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans in the first qualifier. The Tiruppur Tamizhans scored 202 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs. Lokesh Raj was the pick of the bowlers for the Super Gillies and took two wickets for 25 runs in three overs. The Super Gillies were bundled out for 123 runs and lost the match by 79 runs.

The Dragons faced Trichy Grand Cholas in the Eliminator game and elected to bowl after winning the toss. The Grand Cholas scored 140 runs for the loss of nine wickets. Ravichandran Ashwin was the most successful bowler for the Dragons and took three wickets for 28 runs in four overs. Ashwin had a terrific outing with the bat as well and played a knock of 83 runs off 48 deliveries. He led the Dragons to chase down the target of 141 runs in 16.4 overs with six wickets in hand. Ashwin won the Player of the Match award for his all-round performance.
