England (ENG) will face India (IND) in the third Test of the five-match series on Thursday, July 10, at Lord's in London. England had a great start to the series as they won the first Test after chasing down the target of 371 runs in the fourth innings. India became the first team to lose a Test match despite five batters scoring a century.

The third Test match was played at Edgbaston, where India had never won a Test match. Shubman Gill scored 269 runs in the first innings and led India to a total of 587 runs. England was bundled out for 407 runs in the second innings. Mohammed Siraj was the pick of the bowlers and took six wickets for 70 runs. Akash Deep picked the remaining four wickets.

In the second innings, Gill made 161 runs at a strike rate of 99.38. KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, and Ravindra Jadeja scored a half-century each. India declared the innings on 427 runs for the loss of six wickets. In the fourth innings, Akash was the most successful bowler for India and picked six wickets for 99 runs in 21.1 overs. England was all out for 271 runs and India won the match by 336 runs.

India and England have played a total of 19 Test matches at Lord’s. England has won 12 out of these 19 matches. India has won three out of the remaining seven games. Two of India’s three wins have come in the last five matches.
