Preview

India will take on South Africa in the second ODI of the three-match series on Wednesday, December 3, at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur. In the first match, South Africa won the toss and elected to bowl. India lost the wicket of Yashasvi Jaiswal in the fourth over. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli added 136 runs for the second wicket and took India to a dominant position.

India lost two more wickets before reaching the score of 200 runs, and the scoring rate dipped after that. Kohli scored his 52nd century and was dismissed after making 135 runs off 120 deliveries. KL Rahul got out after scoring 60 runs off 56 deliveries, while Ravindra Jadeja made 32 runs off 20 deliveries. India posted a total of 349 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 50 overs. Marco Jansen, Nandre Burger, Corbin Bosch, and Ottneil Baartman took two wickets each.

The Proteas had a terrible start and lost their first three wickets for just 11 runs. Matthew Breetzke (72 off 80), Marco Jasen (70 off 39), and Corbin Bosch (67 off 51) played some fine knocks, but it was not enough. South Africa got bundled out for 332 runs in 49.2 overs, and India won the match by 17 runs. Kuldeep Yadav was the pick of the bowlers for India and took four wickets for 68 runs in 10 overs.
