India will take on South Africa in the third ODI of the ongoing series on Saturday, December 6, at the Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. India won the first game by 17 runs after posting a total of 349 runs for the loss of eight wickets on the board. Virat Kohli won the Player of the Match award after he scored his 83rd century.

In the second match, South Africa won the toss and elected to bowl. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Kohli had a partnership of 195 runs for the third wicket. It was the highest partnership for India against South Africa for any wicket. Gaikwad scored his maiden ODI century and was dismissed after scoring 105 runs off 83 deliveries. Kohli made 102 runs off 93 deliveries, and it was the 11th time Kohli made centuries in two or more consecutive ODI innings. KL Rahul finished with an unbeaten knock of 66 runs off 43 deliveries. India posted a total of 358 runs for the loss of eight wickets. Marco Jansen was the pick of the bowlers and took two wickets for 63 runs.

Aiden Markram made 110 runs off 98 deliveries. Matthew Breetzke (68 runs off 64) and Dewald Brevis (54 runs off 34) made for South Africa. The trio helped the Proteas chase down the target of 359 runs in 49.2 overs with four wickets in hand. Arshdeep Singh and Prasidh Krishna took two wickets each for India. Markram won the Player of the Match award for his batting performance.
