The series comes to its final halt in Christchurch, as the storied venue of the Hagley Oval is all set to host the fifth and final T20I between New Zealand and South Africa on Wednesday, March 25.
The BlackCaps will enter the upcoming contest with a largely depleted squad. Tom Latham has been ruled out of the series; skipper Mitchell Santner is off to India to play IPL 2026; and Devon Conway is set to represent his side in the Pakistan Super League, which gets underway on Thursday. James Neesham will be leading the Kiwis in the upcoming contest.
South Africa, on the other hand, will be led by ace spinner Keshav Maharaj in the upcoming match. The visitors have an excellent chance to clinch the series with it being tied at 2-2 at the moment. However, they will face some competition, as the hosts are quite familiar with the conditions. As a result, the upcoming contest on Thursday becomes an extremely mouthwatering one, as the series is on the line.
