St Kitts and Nevis Patriots (SKN) will face Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) in the fourth match of the Caribbean Premier League 2025 on Sunday, August 17, at Warner Park in Basseterre, St Kitts. It will be the first game of the season for the Knight Riders. The Patriots have won and lost one game each so far this season. The two teams have played a total of 20 matches so far in the CPL. The Patriots faced the Guyana Amazon Warriors in their last game and made 153 runs for the loss of eight wickets. Andre Fletcher made 60 runs off 41 deliveries and was the highest scorer for the team. The Warriors took 17.2 overs to reach the target of 154 runs and won the match by five wickets. Abbas Afridi took two wickets for 24 runs and was the pick of the bowlers for the Patriots.
The Knight Riders won seven out of 10 matches last season and finished in third place. They faced Barbados Royals in the eliminator game and made 168 runs for the loss of three wickets in 19.1 overs before the match was interrupted due to rain. The second innings was reduced to five overs due to rain, and the Royals got a revised target of 60 runs. The Royals took 4.2 overs to win the match by nine wickets.
Nicholas Pooran has been appointed the captain of the side, and he was the leading run-scorer for the team last season. Pooran led the MI New York side in the Major League Cricket to the title in July this year. Former captain Dwayne Bravo has been appointed the head coach of the team.
