West Indies (WI) will face Pakistan (PAK) in the first ODI of the three-match ODI series on Friday, August 8, at the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba, Trinidad. After finishing the three-match T20I series, Pakistan will now play a three-match ODI series against the West Indies. The first match will be held on Friday, August 8. The West Indies won the second T20I by two wickets, chasing down 134 runs on the last ball. It was their first T20I win against Pakistan since 2017, and also the first time Pakistan lost a match in a three-game T20I series against the West Indies.
In ODIs, Pakistan and the West Indies have played 137 matches. Pakistan has won 63, and the West Indies have won 71. Despite this, the West Indies haven’t done well against Pakistan in the ODI series. Their last home series win against Pakistan was way back in 1988.
The West Indies last beat Pakistan in a home ODI match in 2017. So far, the two teams have played six three-match ODI series. Pakistan has won four of them. The West Indies have never won a three-match home series against Pakistan. Their only series wins were in 1980 and 1991, both in Pakistan.
