'Main Dhoni kiya hai bhai' - Sushant Singh's response when Zakir Khan asked if he had ever indulged in sports

The demise of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput took the whole world by a storm. The actor was found dead in his Bandra Residence in Mumbai on June 14. Even after one and half month of Sushant’s death, he is in the spotlight as the investigations on his suicide are still going on. A lot has been said about how depression played a key role in Sushant’s suicide and the who’s who of the Indian entertainment industry are being interrogated for the same.

Many people are demanding a CBI inquiry on Sushant’s suicide as they smell something fishy. Recently, the late actor’s family took a stand and filed an FIR against Bollywood actress and Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty for mentally harassing the actor and robbing him financially.

Amidst all the chaos, some old good videos of the late actor have surfaced on the internet. In terms of acting, Sushant was one of the most promising actors and had given many hit films including Kedarnath, Chichhore, Kai Po Che etc. However, the one movie that made him stand out was ‘MS Dhoni: The untold story’.

Sushant Singh’s friendship with MS Dhoni

Sushant’s portrayal of MS Dhoni on the screen had won many hearts. There were many instances in the movie when the spectators couldn’t differentiate whether they were seeing MS Dhoni or Sushant Singh Rajput. During the preparation of the movie, Mahi and Sushant had become good friends and the latter often spoke highly of the former Indian captain.

Sushant had many times admitted that he admired the way Dhoni maintained his composure in tough situations. During the promotions of his 2019 blockbuster film Chichhore, Sushant spoke candidly on how he enjoyed hanging out with Dhoni while doing his biopic.

In a show, stand-up comedian Zakir Khan had asked Sushant and his colleagues if they had ever indulged in any kind of sports. To this, Sushant took a friendly jibe saying, “Maine khela hai.. main Dhoni kiya hai bhai (I’ve played, I have played Dhoni)”.

Further in the interview, Sushant said in regards to Dhoni, “I had a lot of fun, he’s a great man. You have to give him attention, else you’ll miss what he’s saying.”
