Meme fest ignited on Twitter as cameraperson spots couple kissing in IPL match

The 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is underway and fans have already witnessed some exciting action between the bat and the ball. Match 10 of the competition saw Gujarat Titans crossing swords with Delhi Capitals at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. The clash proceeded like a rollercoaster as DC looked in the hunt for a major part while chasing 172.

However, the likes of Mohammed Shami, Rashid Khan, and particularly Lockie Ferguson were too hot to handle for Delhi batters as GT recorded their second win on the trot. Meanwhile, the game also garnered attention due to a different reason. A couple was spotted kissing in the stands and the picture went viral in no time. Netizens showcased their creativity and flooded social media with hilarious memes.

Notably, the camera operators in IPL have been a talking point. Alongside the on-field action, they tend to capture several other notable incidents at the venue, which apparently go viral. On this occasion, the couple was caught on camera and social media users came up with memes.

Lockie Ferguson’s four-fer took Gujarat Titans over the line

Meanwhile, New Zealand speedster Lockie Ferguson was the standout performer in the clash as he broke the backbone of DC’s batting line-up with a four-fer. Besides him, Shubman Gill scored 84 off just 46 deliveries as the Titans posted 171/6 in their allotted 20 overs. While this was Gujarat’s second victory on the trot, Delhi have now one win and a defeat in two games.

Needless to mention, Gujarat Titans skipper Hardik Pandya was a happy man at the end. While he initially thought the total should have been more, the all-rounder was pleased with the overall result.

“Really happy with the way boys are coming out and contributing. The kind of attack we have, we always felt that we can make a score that’s 10 under-par look like 25 above. I thought there were periods were Delhi were ahead, but then that Lockie over really changed things for us,” he said after the game.
