As part of their sport punditry, former players from England and Australia, Michael Vaughan, Graeme Swann, and Marcus North were to pick the best ODI side thus far in the recent months that have elapsed in ODI cricket. interestingly, it would seem as though Vaughan and Marcus North seemingly have a similar sort of brain given the fact that they have picked the similar squad comprising of the similar players as well barring the two changes.

However, as he was during his playing days, Graeme Swann has opted to go ahead with a spinning attack with Shakib-Al-Hasan and Sunil Narine making his way also into the grand scheme of things. Interestingly, all three men have opted to go with South African batsman AB de Villiers despite the fact that the latter has had little or no international cricket played in recent times as well.

The trio have also gone ahead with Ben Stokes who also has not had the greatest of years with either bat or ball until the India series of course.

Michael Vaughan’s XI: David Warner, Quinton de Kock, Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Joe Root, Jos Buttler, Ben Stokes, Ravi Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Kagiso Rabada, Mitchell Starc

Marcus North’s XI: David Warner, Quinton de Kock, Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Rohit Sharma, Steve Smith, Ben Stokes, Ravi Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Kagiso Rabada, Mitchell Starc
