The world has gone into a lockdown owing to the massive coronavirus outbreak. It has spewed its venom across the globe and people are being quarantined on a regular basis. The coronavirus cases have exceeded 1.5 lakhs with the death tolls showing no signs of stopping either. The pandemic has sent cricket assignments for a toss as a number of tournaments have been cancelled.

Among major tournaments, the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2020 was the latest to get postponed. At the present point in time, there’s no live cricket with cricketers going into self-isolation. South Africa’s tour of India and New Zealand’s tour of Australia were also halted amid the COVID-19 outbreak. Even the start of the IPL has been postponed from March 29 to April 15.

In the meantime, with there being no cricket, ESPNcricinfo asked its fans about the Test match they would wish to watch over the next five days. They took to Twitter and wrote, “You Have to Watch One Test from The Past for The Next Five Days. Which Match Do You Choose?”

Mitchell McClenaghan, the New Zealand fast bowler, had a different opinion though. The left-armer wants a three-day Test and wishes to enjoy the remaining days watching T20 cricket. McClenaghan replied to the tweet and wrote, “One that finishes in 3 days so i can watch T20s the last few days,”

McClenaghan backing out of the PSL

McClenaghan, the 33-year-old seamer, was recently a part of the Karachi Kings, led by Imad Wasim, in the 2020 edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). However, after the coronavirus pandemic, he went back home for a 14-day isolation period. During his stint in the T20 league, he played only a solitary game against the Shan Masood-led Multan Sultans on March 6 at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

McClenaghan, who also plays for the Mumbai Indians, recently got married to his girlfriend Georgia England. The couple got engaged a few days ago after which they decided to enter the wedlock. Along with the cricket fraternity, including his Black Caps’ teammates, even MI wished the seamer on the auspicious occasion.
