Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is not happy with the left-arm pacer Mohammad Amir appearing on a TV show just prior to the departure to the national squad to England. Amir has been told to give his explanation to the board.

According to media reports the matter had been taken seriously since Amir didn’t inform the board prior to accepting the invitation to appear on the show.

“This has happened just few days after the top PCB officials including Chairman, Sharharyar Khan and Najam Sethi had met with Amir in Lahore and briefed him clearly on what was expected of him in England,” the source was quoted by PTI.

Amir was advised by the board to avoid media and to show tolerance and patience while dealing with England audience too. “He was also told clearly to improve his attitude and not antagonize his own teammates,” the source added.
Pakistani players Salman Butt and Muhammad Asif along with Amir were found guilty of spot-fixing during Pakistan’s tour of England in 2010, and after the ban of 5 years, only Amir is featuring in this tour since English authorities conveyed to the PCB they would not be welcome in the UK this year.

Shaharyar Khan also asked banned leg-spinner Danish Kaneria to think well before speaking against PCB in India. “I think Danish needs to think about what he is saying about the PCB in India. It is not a good thing what he has said and he should be careful with his statements,” he advised.
