After seeing the ineffectiveness of Indian speedsters in the ongoing Australia series Indian selectors are now open to an option to include Md Shami.

Shami was out of action for the last couple of months and recently in news for his rehabilitation program in NCA with series of own posted twits and Instagram snaps.

As Indian domestic Ranji season is already concluded and limited over Vijay Hazare trophy has reached up to Quarter final stages, selectors have no other option to include in that setup to check whether he is Test match ready.

As Shami’s domestic team Bengal has already qualified for last 8, the Bengal skipper has no hesitation to give Shami a go as well in the last league game today.

Selectors kept a constant eye on Chennai where the match against Gujarat is scheduled today. But now at the end of the domestic season, the condition of Chennai will be somehow different than Ranchi, the eastern Indian city where India will play next Test, a new venue.

Mohammed Shami has ended with the figures of 0/36 in the 7 overs he has bowled against Gujarat in the game. Team selection of last two Tests are yet to be done and there is a huge pressure on underperforming Indian attack both spin and pace.

India is playing on home soil for lion’s share of this calendar they should have enough tested bench which is somehow missing now.

No new bowlers have arrived from the last season as India is more dependent to find talent through the shortest format of the game and now have to go back to Shami who is out of competitive cricket for sometime now.

Mohd Shami shared these videos on Instagram a  few days back:
