Most Fifties in IPL History from 2008 to 2026
Virat Kohli holds the record for the most fifties in IPL history, with 72 half-centuries.
Some experts believe that a fifty-plus score in 20-over cricket is as impactful as a century and is often enough to turn the game on its head. Similarly, any score above 30 is considered to be of the same impact as a half-century. However, in record terms, David Warner became the first batter to breach a half-century of 50-plus scores in the Indian Premier League, representing Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad in his career.
Among Indians, Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli were the first two Indian batters to record a tally of more than fifty half-centuries. Kohli also made the record for four centuries, the most in a single edition, in 2016 when RCB also made the finals. Warner, on the other hand, has four centuries in the Indian Premier League tournament in his fifty-plus scores.
