Most sixes in T20 World Cup

There are many spectacles in cricket that captivate the attention of the audience and one such sight is the batter dispatching the ball into the stands. While this sight is rare in Test cricket and ODIs, it is common in T20s as batters take aerial routes to find runs at maximum pace.

In the 20-over format, batters are allowed to take risks and can go against any bowler. Some will use their muscle power and some will use their timing to make the ball travel over the rope. While this will give thrills to the batter and the crowd, the bowler will see his confidence getting diminished.

Meanwhile, a huge risk factor awaits the batters as they try to hit a maximum. If he fails to connect the ball properly, the ball will easily fall into the hands of the fielder. However, big-hitters tend to take risks and try to accumulate maximum runs at an aggressive strike rate.

Legendary opener Chris Gayle has hit the maximum number of sixes (63) in T20 World Cup history. India captain Rohit Sharma sits second on the list with 50 maximums.
