India and Australia are battling it out in the fourth ODI at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. Australia won the toss and decided to bat first. Bengaluru has always been a happy hunting ground for the batters and today was no different. The Australian batters gave the Indian bowlers who had been dominant thus far on the tour a hard time along with that their fielders were rather sloppy on the field today, fumbling in the in and out field giving Aussies the chance to steal extra runs.

Australian openers were going hammer and tongs since ball one and the platform meant India were looking to chase a big total. All the Indian bowlers, three of whom were playing their first game in the series ended up with economy higher than six runs per over. Australia finished with a score of 334 in their 50 overs leaving India a tough score to chase. Meanwhile, during the Australian innings former Indian captain, MS Dhoni and Axar Patel were involved in a rare incident.

MS Dhoni gets angry! Yes you read that right

However, today MS Dhoni was not pleased with Axar Patel’s work on the field. The left-arm spinner was fielding at sweeper cover when Mohammed Shami was bowling in the 45th over. Shami bowled a good length delivery which Travis Head played the shot early.

As a result he was tangled in front of the wickets. A huge appeal broke out but the umpire turned it down. Meanwhile, the ball went towards the third man and was slowed down by its impact with the pads. Axar fielding at covers was busy appealing, instead of running towards the ball.

This saw Australia steal another couple of runs and MS Dhoni was extremely unhappy. He gestured the youngster with his hand and told him what went wrong giving him a scary look.
