As soon as Virat Kohli & Co. wrapped up the Test series win, the Indian cricket fans were all geared up to welcome back the helicopter which was away from the game for the past two months. MS Dhoni returned to the squad for the limited-overs series, alongside the new finisher in the Indian team- Kedar Jadhav.

The Indian team has already begun their practice grandly with back-to-back series against Sri Lanka and Australia looming around the corner. While Sri Lanka might be a slippery stone that the Indian team would want to pass through safely, the Australians might really be the danger to this Indian team.

The Indian cricket team earlier in the day released a video of Rohit Sharma practising in the nets, ahead of the series but it was Dhoni, who stole the show on the practise day. The former Indian skipper was seen thrashing the ball on the off-side in the 1-minute long video posted on Facebook.

While most of the shots he played were on the off-side, he also brushed his skills for the upper cut, a good counter for the short pitched stuff. Dhoni’s leg-side loft was just a trailer of things that the Indian cricket fans would see in the five-match ODI series.

It is a rare scene to see the 35-year-old batsman scooping the ball over the head of the point fielder, but that was precisely what he has been practising in the nets.

While Dhoni is waiting to unleash his uppercuts, Virat Kohli would want to gain the upper-cut over his Sri Lankan counterpart when the ODI series starts this week. India would look to march on and similarly win the ODI series as they did in the Tests, it would be a test which might have a certain degree of trickery in it.
