MS Dhoni has the maximum female fan following, feel Rahane and Stokes

MS Dhoni is one reason why the game of cricket has attracted female fans too! Girls may not understand his helicopter shot but certainly, find him handsome and charming. And thus it was no surprise when Dhoni’s Rising Pune Supergiant teammate Ajinkya Rahane and Ben Stokes voted him as the player who has the most female fan following.

After an unpromising start to the tenth edition of the Indian Premier League, Pune Supergiant have bounced back in the tournament with three successive wins to jump to the fourth spot in the points table. Following their victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad last week, Rahane, Stokes and Dhoni answered some interactive questions for the fans.

One of the questions was “who would you feel is the most popular Supergiant amongst the female fans?”

While Rahane and Stokes promptly chose Dhoni as the answer, the former Indian captain chose Faf du Plessis as the Pune cricketer who enjoys the most female fan following.

One of the other questions was “which two Supergiants do you think are definitely Bollywood ‘Hero’ and ‘Villain’ material?”

Stokes quickly named skipper Steve Smith as a Villain and Dhoni as a Hero. The answer might have been triggered after the Kohli-Smith controversies during the recently concluded India V/s Australia Border-Gavaskar series.

Rising Pune Supergiant will face the Kolkata Knight Riders at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. KKR scripted a dramatic win over the Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Eden Gardens, bundling the best batting line-up of IPL 10 for 49 runs.
