'My heartfelt duas with you India' - Mohammad Amir pours prayers for neighbour nation's fight against COVID-19

India is currently battling with the ugly second wave of COVID-19 where the case tally is touching a new high every day. The daily tally has already crossed the mark of 4 lakh cases thrice and now the country’s total tally stands at 2,10, 77, 410. With the situation going from bad to worse in the last month, many notable cricketers and big names have come forward to add in their payers and financial aid to help India.

The latest edition in this list is former Pakistan cricketer Mohammad Amir who has shown his concern for India. The cricketer tweeted a video and added that the neighbor country is with them in their testing hours. Also, he stated he that is praying for India constantly.

“My heartfelt duas with u India. Remember we are all with you through our prayers in these difficult times, may Allah bless us all with his rehmat. #getwellsoonindia,” tweeted Amir.

Apart from Amir, many other Pakistan cricketers have shown solidarity with India in these trying times. Talking about Amir, the pacer announced his abrupt retirement last year from international cricket citing some issues with management. However, the speedster plays foreign leagues now.

“Prayers with the people of India in these catastrophic times. It’s time to show solidarity and pray together. I also request all the people out there to strictly follow SOPs, as it’s for our safety only. Together we can do it,” tweeted Azam a few days back.

Talking about the grim COVID-19 situation in India, the cases started flaring up right after 15 March and crossed the 1 lakh mark. However, as the wave moved forward, the 2 lakh and 3 lakh cases started coming across the country and now it has already crossed the mark of 4 lakh thrice. Seeing the unfavourable situation in the nation, even BCCI had to halt the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League. Cases started coming across various teams and the Indian league has to be postponed for an indefinite period.
