Navjot Singh Sidhu doesn't want Pulwama incident to have an impact on Kartarpur Corridor

What happened in Pulwama district in Jammu and Kashmir was an extremely heart-breaking one. A suicide bomber, along with explosive in his vehicle, crashed into a convoy having CRPF Jawans. The major explosion resulted in 44 soldiers losing their lives which is very disheartening. After this incident, Navjot Singh Sidhu put himself in severe trouble with some controversial remarks.
The Punjab cabinet minister tried to defend Pakistan in a way with his comments. He noted that nations cannot be held responsible for the acts of terrorists. Sidhu even remarked that every institution has got good, bad and ugly people. He wanted only the ugly to be punished. However, this didn’t go down well with the people of the country and they absolutely lashed out at him.
Sidhu questions government’s protection
The former cricketer was also axed from the Kapil Sharma show after the comments received a lot of flak from the public. Now, Navjot Singh Sidhu tried to defend his statements and put a video of the same on Twitter. He lashed out at the government for their security arrangement while they were moving the soldiers from one place to the other.
Sidhu pointed out that the traffic in a city is stalled when a politician passes through. But, he asked why such an arrangement wasn’t made in this case. At the same time, he spoke about the question marks over the Kartarpur Corridor because of a cowardly act of three or four people.
The corridor was recently opened to the public so that they could visit the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Pakistan. He said that no one can change anything about the philosophy of Baba Nanak and mentioned that he’d abide by it. Navjot Singh Sidhu concluded by saying that he would stand for this corridor and also fight for it if there is a requirement.
