Nepal, Papua New Guinea (PNG), and Malaysia are all set to lock horns in a tri-nation T20I series that will be played for a week starting from March 28 to April 4. The three teams will rub shoulders in seven games at the Tribhuvan University International Ground in Kirtipur, Nepal. Talking about the format of the game, a round-robin structure has been proposed for the tri-nation series where the top two teams will compete for the ultimate clash on April 4.

Talking about the past fixtures of all the teams, Malaysia last played a T20I game in the same Nepal T20I tri-series, one year back. On the other hand, Nepal and PNG recently locked horns in a two-match ODI series wherein PNG won both the neck-to-neck affairs. Talking of the captains of the sides, leg spinner Sandeep Lamichhane will lead the Nepal side while Assad Vala will lead PNG and Malaysia will be captained by Ahmad Faiz Bin Mohammad Nor.
