Nepal U19 get all 10 UAE batsmen out for just 16 runs: United Arab Emirates U-19 team collapsed at an unbelievable pace. Chasing Nepal’s 199 the UAE team started off very well, with the score board reading 34-0 in the 8th over.

But the next 13 overs of the game turned drastically, when UAE lost all the 10 wickets for just 16 runs. UAE got bowled out at the total of 50 runs losing the match by 149 runs. The Nepal bowlers did wonders, as 6 of the UAE batsmen returned to the pavilion without scoring a single run and three of them were sent back scoring 1 run each. The total score of the team would have been even lower if the opener and Captain Waruna Parera had not managed to score the 32 runs.

Zafri Zafardeen was the first wicket to fall at the score of 12, after which the captain led the team to the score of 44-1 after 11 overs. From this point hence, the Nepal bowlers crumbled the entire UAE dugout, 9 wickets fell for 10 runs. The wickets kept falling in a heap, 44, 45, 45, 46 was the scorecard reading as one UAE batsman was sent back to the pavilion after other.

The big wicket of the resistant, Waruna Parera came at the score of 47. Last four wickets came without a ticking on the scoreboard. Sushil Kandel, left-arm orthodox bowler did the magic for Nepal, grabbing 4-7 in his 7 overs, well-supported by the off-spinner Sunil Dhamala who took 3-12 in his 7-over spell.

Last two wickets to fall were accounted by Prem Tanag, the off-break bowler took both the wickets in the only over he bowled. His figures of 2-0 in 0.5 overs completed the win for Nepal.

Surprisingly, the same UAE team that crumbled in the match against Nepal, just after 24 hours registered a 165-run win against Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia’s team was crushed at the score of 93 runs, the figures that followed in the match were again surprising as 10-batsmen were back to the dugout scoring single figures and with just one scorer Muhammad Zeyad, the wicket-keeper batsman who scored 71 off 72 balls and was the last wicket to fall.

The qualifier for the U-19 World Cup 2016 that is taking place in Malaysia features six nations and will wrap up on Thursday. It is an Asian Cricket Council event.
