Pakistan grabbed another ODI series victory by defeating hosts Netherlands in the second ODI, their third consecutive series triumph in the 50-over format with seven ODI wins in a row. The first game saw the hosts push Babar Azam’s side all the way and were defeated narrowly by 16 runs. But the Men in Green put on a clinic in the second game to complete a comprehensive win by seven wickets.

The Netherlands batters couldn’t repeat their heroics of the series opener and had no answers against an exceptionally skilled Pakistani bowling attack and were restricted to an underwhelming score of 186. The visitors were rocked early after losing both their openers in quick succession, but Babar Azam, as he often does, came to the fore for his side with a fluent half-century, his second in a row in the series.

After the skipper’s stabilizing innings, the newbie Agha Salaman put his foot on the accelerator and got Pakistan home in a canter, registering his maiden fifty in ODIs. Senior batter Mohammad Rizwan also compiled an impactful innings and remained unbeaten of 69, guiding his side home.

The visitors will be eyeing a whitewash in the final game with the series already in the bag and the Netherlands will have to pull up their socks if they wish to avoid a fifth successive clean sweep in ODIs.

Pitch Conditions

The surface at the Hazelaarweg has been an absolute belter, as witnessed in the previous two matches and the toss doesn’t really affect the result in the match as Pakistan have started to assert their dominance over the hosts in the series. The team batting first will have to post around the 300-run mark to have a chance in the match.

Playing Combinations for NED vs PAK

Netherlands

The hosts have got nothing to lose now as the series is already lost and will be sticking to the same team in hopes of avoiding a whitewash at the hands of the Pakistani team. Scott Edwards will hope for a better outing from his batters in the series finale.

Predicted Playing XI:

Vikramjit Singh, Max ODowd, Wesley Barresi, Bas de Leede, Tom Cooper, Scott Edwards (c & wk), Teja Nidamanuru, Logan van Beek, Tim Pringle, Aryan Dutt, Vivian Kingma
