Match Details:

The 1st match in Round 1 of the Plunket Shield 2020-21 will be played between Northern Districts and Central Stags at the Seddon Park, Hamilton on Monday.

This match is scheduled to start at 10:30 AM Local Time (03:00 AM IST) (09:30 PM UTC – 18 September 2020).

Preview:

The New Zealand domestic season will kick off from Monday with the Plunket Shield 2020-21. Six teams will be taking part in the tournament and they will all play each other in a total of eight rounds. Three games are to be played in each round of the tournament. In one of the Round 1 games, Northern Districts will be taking on the Central Stags.

Central Stags had a good season last year. They won two out of the six games that they played and hence finished second on the points table. Meanwhile, the Northern Districts finished last on the table with only one win. They would fancy turning things around this time and will hope to put up a good show. With some star players available for both the teams, this should be a highly competitive battle.

NOR vs CST Weather Report for Match 1:

There is a rain prediction for all four days. Thus, there could be interruptions to the proceedings and it wouldn’t be a surprise if this match ends up in a draw.

Pitch Condition/Report:

The pitch is likely to work in favour of the bowlers. Moreover, the overcast conditions will make life tough for the batsmen. Seeing off the new ball will be key for the top-order batsmen.
