One step closer to playoffs, Kohli Force wins over the Orange Army- SRH v RCB Statistical Review: The Match 52 of the Indian Premier League was perhaps one of the most dramatic matches of the tournament. Rain played a spoilsport in the initial phase of the match which was followed by a butchering partnership between Warner and Henriques for the Sunrisers Hyderabad. To add to the discomfort of the Royal Challengers Bangalore, their fielding was way below the par line with a number of dropped chances and mis-fieldings.

Finally, in the rain intervened match, SRH scored a total of a mammoth 135 runs in their 11 overs (reduced). After which, rain intruded again and ultimately things went down to 6 overs with a target of 81 runs for RCB. It was a daunting task but not in front of a gigantic Jamaican named Chris Gayle. He gave RCB a flying start and scored a swaggering 35 runs off just 10 deliveries to set the pace in the chase.

SRH, however bounced back, courtesy of Moises Henriques, who picked up the wickets of Gayle and de Villiers in successive deliveries.

Yet, with 13 runs required off the last over, it was the RCB captain who once again proved his class and won the game for RCB with a ball to spare.

After today’s victory by 6 wickets, RCB inched closer for a position in the play offs.
