Pakistan will be looking to seal the One Day International series against Australia by winning the third and final game which is currently underway at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The coin landed in favour of the Pakistan skipper Babar Azam and he elected to have a bowl first. The batting sensation handed over the new ball to tall pacer Shaheen Afridi and it paid off well.

The left-arm pacer made the new ball do the talking right from the word go and put the visitors on the back foot on the very first ball of the match. Shaheen delivered an out-swinging full toss which was missed by the star batter Travis Head only to see his stumps flattered. He had no choice but, to take a long walk back to the pavilion and that too without troubling the scorers.

Head put his front-foot forward tentatively and never committed to the shot. Before he could think, the pace on the ball had led to the batters’ stumps shattering. Head was clearly beaten by the swing and pace and the ball ended up disturbing his furniture.

The video of this dismissal was posted by Pakistan Cricket on their official Twitter handle. Watch it right here.

Pakistan make early strikes in deciding ODI

The Pakistan pace attack went on to torment Australia‘s top-order after Travis Head’s dismissal. Haris Rauf dismissed skipper Aaron Finch for a golden duck and star batter Marnus Labuschagne could only manage four runs from 10 deliveries before being sent back by Rauf. Within the first 20 overs, Australia lost five wickets and they would be hoping to post a decent total on the board now.

Meanwhile, Travis Head would be gutted to miss out after bossing the Pakistan bowlers in the first two matches of the series. He smashed a sensational century in the opener and backed it up with a brilliant half-century in the previous game. He ends the series with 190 runs in three innings at a strike-rate rate of close to 133.
