Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim was not the part of Pakistan side which played a 3-T20I series against West Indies. 29-year-old Imad Wasim had missed few matches in the 3rd edition of the Pakistan Super League. Wasim had suffered a head injury during Karachi Kings’ encounter against Lahore Qalandar.

Wasim got injured when he tried to dismiss Sohail Khan. Wasim held on to a superb catch but in the process, he fell down and his head hit the ground. He was taken out of the ground on the stretcher which made things look really bad for the all-rounder. However, it was confirmed later that his situation was stable. Later he was ruled of the whole tournament.

Old knee-injury to be treated in the UK

Now, the all-rounder has flown to his birth country England where he will undergo a medical procedure for his knee. Notably, during his head injury rehab, his old knee-injury has surfaced back which he had suffered playing a T20 tournament held in Dubai.

As per the sources, Imad will be under the watch of knee specialist doctors in England. Pakistan will play a T20 international series against Scotland after their England tour where they play 2 Tests. Imad Wasim would love to recover from his injury before the T20 series against Scotland.

Imad made his Pakistan debut in 2015 against Sri Lanka and has played 30 ODIs scoring 430 runs and picking up 28 wickets for Pakistan. In T20Is for Pakistan, Imad has featured in 25 matches, scoring a total of 122 runs and picking up 27 wickets. Imad comes to bat very low down the order which could be the reason for the poor stats as a batsman, but he has been a very good and handy bowler for Pakistan with his bowling.

With players like Faheem Ashraf coming to the fore from the Pakistan Premier League, it will be interesting to see If Imad gets his spot back and perform well for his side.
