Pakistan cricket team has scaled greater heights recently with their excellent performance across all the formats. The players have gelled well together which is probably one of the reasons for their impressive show on the field. Currently, they are in the United Kingdom and will soon lock horns against Scotland in the two-match T20 International series. However, the team is enjoying some free time as the likes of Fakhar Zaman and Faheem Ashraf revealed about the Whatsapp group of the team which is named hilariously as ‘Roti Group’.

The two T20 Internationals will be played on June 12 and 13 which will conclude the UK tour of Pakistan. They defeated the Test debutants Ireland first and then went on to tie the series against England. They won the first game historically at the Home of Cricket in Lord’s as Pakistan’s bowlers exploited the conditions better than their counterparts. But the unpredictability of the team came to the fore in the second match in Headingley as they succumbed to the heavy defeat.

What is Roti Group?

There is a special bonding between a few players of the team and they have created a group on Whatsapp which is named as ‘Roti Group.’ It consists of Fakhar Zaman, Hasan Ali, Shadab Khan, Faheem Ashraf, Mohammad Nawaz and Usman Shinwari. According to Brecorder, Zaman and Ashraf revealed that Nawaz is the chief of the group and they plan their outings while chatting in the group itself.

“Nawaz is the chief of the group. We go out together for a meal, as we have a group on WhatsApp so we just contact each other whenever there is an outdoor plan,” the duo said while speaking to Ramiz Raja. However, Ashraf also went on to say that the left-handed opener likes to tease Nawaz the most in the group.

“Nawaz is a very sweet guy I just like to tease him a bit. However, it is very difficult for us to pass time without him as well,” Fakhar concluded.
