Pakistan Cricket is going through a fine spell currently after winning their recent series. Everything seems to be falling in place for them with the World Cup only less than a year away. The team is blessed to have pace bowling all-rounder in Faheem Ashraf who has improved with every match and has made it tough for the others in line. Aamer Yamin is one of those who have gone out of favour over the last 7 months. However, he has vowed to make a strong comeback with a show in the domestic cricket.

He last played for his country in January 2018 during Pakistan tour and has been sidelined since then. In 4 ODIs and a couple of T20 Internationals, Yamin hasn’t been able to live up to the expectations. He has represented the Peshawar Zalmi and the Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and has fared decently in the competition.

I can improve only if I get chances

Aamer Yamin, while speaking to Pak Passion, assured that he always gives his best efforts in whichever level he plays the game. He also believes that he will improve as a player only if he gets more chances to represent Pakistan at the highest level. But the Aamer understands that Ashraf and Shadab Khan have been performing to their potential as all-rounders and it will be tough for him to return.

“As far as my situation is concerned, I feel that one can only prove himself and also improve as a player if given chances to play at the highest level. I can assure everyone that I have always endeavoured to make the most of any chance given to me. It doesn’t matter if it is a high-profile domestic game or if it’s a local club, I put in my best efforts to perform to the best of my abilities and will prove to the world that I am an outstanding all-rounder,” he said.

Pakistan team is currently gearing up for the upcoming Asia Cup which will be played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 15.
