Fakhar Zaman looked quite impressive in his maiden appearance for Pakistan in the longest format of the game. The 28-year-old scored 94 runs on his debut but was unfortunate to have missed out on a century. However, more than anything else, it was his name that grabbed a lot of attention on the first day of the second Test against Australia and Mark Waugh, indeed, had a lot of fun.

During lunch, the former Aussie cricketer was analysing how things progressed with Brett Lee for his company. He discussed the entire passage of play and the way Fakhar Zaman went about things. However, while trying to explain a scenario of Jon Holland bowling to the left-hander, Mark Waugh faltered with the name of Zaman.

He immediately burst out and Lee and the anchor couldn’t control themselves from sharing a laugh. The former fast bowler was quick to tell his ex-teammate the name of the cricketer. However, the trio still couldn’t control their laughter and kept giggling for some time.

Mark Waugh found it hard to control his laugh

“I think Jon Holland is just bowling a little bit too slowly. We saw Fakhar Zamm…What’s his name?” asked Waugh. Zaman came a quick prompt from Brett Lee. “I was close, come on. He actually played a couple of nice shots on the backfoot,” said the former Aussie cricketer as he tried to cover up things. The video of the hilarious incident immediately went viral on Twitter as the fans also enjoyed watching it a lot

At the close of play on Day 1, Australia were 20/2 and trail Pakistan’s score by 262 runs. Earlier, Pakistan was bowled out for 282 in 81 overs despite being reduced to 57/5 in the first session. The skipper Sarfraz Ahmed and Zaman scored 94 runs each as they put on a 147-run stand for the sixth wicket.
